Seaside chic, medieval villages and lots of green rugged terrain in-between
"'The Russians bought up all the yacht parking, they would buy the entire country if they could, they may already have.' My guide cracks a dry smile and laughs. Irony notwithstanding, there may have been some truth in his quip. We've pulled into Budva, a chic seaside resort town on the Adriatic Coast. In the morning I saw Kotor, a touch more humble. A town on the bayshore in the valley of cliffs. From what I've seen, Montenegro would be worth spending a few nights, I'd like to rent a car though. Sometimes bad booking rears its head, the room in Dubrovnik is not refundable, I'll trek back at dusk."

Bar
Walk around the center of Kotor and photograph Our Lady of the Rocks Island.
Spot the yachts in Budva.
Hitching a ride on the car ferry to see Montenegro from the sea--stunning.
Kind of need a car once there but since it's such a small country most all of main cities are quite walkable.
A comfortable to place to unwind, nobody is in a hurry during summer time. Still finding its way a bit as its only been a formal country since 2006. It was interesting to observe that, for such a rich history, the "country" part is still kind of in its infancy and the locals are happy to tell you about it.
